Center Closings

Teachers who have specific preparation, knowledge, and skills in child development and early childhood education are more likely to engage in warm, positive interactions with children, offer richer language experiences, and create more high-quality learning environments.

Here a Tiny Fingers Tiny Toes, we encourage our staff to partake in any educational classes that come their way. We offer Professional Development classes yearly to meet DPW standards, STARS standards and our own Standards.

 

In Order for our staff to obtain all of their required hours, we need to close the center to achieve this. Below are a list of days that the center will be closed for Professional Development and holidays:

 

January: New Year’s Day

Martin Luther King Day

May: Memorial Day,

July: Independence Day,

September: Labor Day

November: Veteran Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving

December: Christmas, day after.

**if the Holiday falls on a Saturday we will observe it on Friday.

If the Holiday falls on a Sunday we will observe it on Monday.
